Description

Accommodation

Rhibyn Cottage is a newly renovated, dog-friendly, semi-detached 2 bedroom cottage. It has been thoughtfully updated whilst at the same time retaining many of the old features such as oak beams, slate cills and lime rendered walls.

The cottage comfortably sleeps 5 in one double bedroom and one triple room. Downstairs is spacious with an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area. The kitchen is fully fitted with single oven, halogen hob, extractor, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and washing machine. The lounge area seats 5 on a large sofa and 2 armchairs. Downstairs there is also a shower room with WC. Upstairs is a bathroom with separate shower cubicle and two bedrooms. Underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove will keep guests warm and snug on cooler days and nights.

Bed linen, towels and tea towels are all provided. However, guests do need to provide their own beach towels.

Outside

Outside, the cottage has its own dog-proof garden where guests can relax, catch the sun and have a barbecue after an afternoon on the beach or day out.

A public footpath runs through the Farm. It leads directly into a beautiful ancient woodland and meanders towards the village and beach. This is ideal for exercising your dog, or indeed yourself. Leave the car behind and take a delightful stroll into the village.

Access Statement

Pigeonsford Farm Holiday Cottages are located on private land, in a peaceful spot away from the road. There is minimal traffic noise but occasionally agricultural vehicles and animals can be heard. This is a rural area and some noise is to be expected.

Parking is available close to the cottage. Several cars may be present if other guests are staying. The areas around the cottage are predominantly gravel and there are several steps and gentle slopes. This may make access difficult for those with impaired mobility..

External PIR lighting illuminates in low light/night time.

Properties are simply furnished to maximise space but provide all that is required for a relaxing holiday.

Internally there is a wooden, winding staircase.

Owners live on the property so will be able to meet you and show you around. They will be on call if you have any problems during your stay.

Large Families and Groups

Rhibyn is available to rent as one large property with Hawen Cottage. A soundproof and fireproof door and wall separates the two properties but can be opened so that a holiday unit for 10 people is available. Please contact us separately if you would like to discuss doing  this.

Wonderful Stay

We had the most wonderful stay in an excellent cottage with everything we could possibly need, the beds were comfy the facilities are clean and modern. Amazing water pressure. All the comforts of home, it’s a pity it was warm as we didn’t get the opportunity to light the wood burning stove. We spent two weeks here, Michelle and Rod were great hosts, lots of local knowledge and recommendations if you want them. Michelle makes really good scones, if she offer say yes. Lovely welcome basket of treats even for the dog. The situation is close enough to beaches, towns and many villages but in a peaceful quite area, close to woodlands walks. Never had a problem with mobile signal or internet connection. Our dog Cody is wary of strangers but happily made friends with Michelle. The garden is secure and fences high enough to keep our boxer dog in. Can’t recommend this place enough and we will return.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rhibyn cottage. Michele and Rhod were terrific hosts, really friendly, helpful and welcoming. The cottage was renovated to a very high standard, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the outside area was lovely. We would definitely visit again.

One of our 'must go back' holiday breaks.

The cottage was exactly as described. It was simply but tastefully and immaculately decorated and furnished. It lies in beautiful surroundings just a short walk down to Llangrannog beach with pubs, cafe and amenities such as paddle board hire. Some of the more elderly guests may find the walk back to the cottage a bit too steep for them. We would heartily recommend a meal in The Ship in Llangrannog. There are multiple lovely bays a short drive away and Cardigan and New Quay are also nearby. Hosts Michelle and Rhod are warm and welcoming and could not be more accommodating. They always ready to help with any enquiry you may have, particularly about the local area which is a walkers paradise. The walk from the cottage to Llangrannog along the Ceredigion coastal path is a must. This is one of our 'must go back' holiday breaks

We loved it

We absolutely loved this cottage and can’t wait to return. It is a little walk out of Llangrannog but this is outweighed by the extra space and peaceful location. It is also easy enough to drive down to the free car park in 5 minutes. The owners are absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough to help us and were so friendly with our children, showing them the chickens.

A great base for walkers

The cottage is lovely and very tastefully furnished. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and utensils and the garden is a pleasure to sit in. The cottage is in a very peaceful setting but well placed to visit the.many scenic villages and beaches nearby. A great base for walkers. I was happy that all necessary measures had been taken by the owners to comply with COVID 19 cleaning regulations. I would love to return in the future.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Rhibyn Cottage. The owners were very accommodating and couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome and well informed. Have recommended to friends and family who may want to stay in the area.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage with our two dogs. We arrived very late and so the welcome pack, tea bags and milk in the fridge on arrival and dog bowls and towels was just the perfect touch. We continued to have a 5* holiday cottage experience. The cottage was beautifully designed, clean, tidy and the owners had thought of everything so we could just get in with our stay and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Ideally located we were able to visit different beaches every day and you can walk to the local beach from the cottage. The only downside was that our stay was so great we didn’t want to go home! Thank you Michele and Rod!
