Hawen Cottage is a newly renovated, dog-friendly, semi-detached 2 bedroom cottage. It has been thoughtfully updated whilst at the same time retaining many of the old features such as oak beams, slate cills and lime rendered walls.

The cottage comfortably sleeps 5 in one double bedroom and a triple room. There is a spacious living area with open plan kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The kitchen is fully fitted with single oven, halogen hob, extractor, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a dining table for 5 and lounge space seating 5 on a large sofa and 2 armchairs. Upstairs is a shower room (with basin, WC and heated towel rail), and two bedrooms. Underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove will keep guests snug on cooler days and nights.

Bed linen, towels and tea towels are all provided. However, guests need to provide their own beach towels.

Outside, the cottage has its own dog-proof garden where guests can relax, catch the sun and have a barbecue after an afternoon on the beach or day out.

A public footpath runs through Pigeonsford Farm and leads directly into a beautiful ancient woodland which takes you towards the village and beach. This is ideal for exercising your dog or indeed yourself. Leave the car behind and take a delightful stroll into the village.

Access Statement

Pigeonsford Farm Holiday Cottages are located on private land, in a peaceful spot away from the road. There is minimal traffic noise but occasionally agricultural vehicles and animals can be heard. This is a rural area and some noise is to be expected.

Parking is available close to the cottage. Several cars may be present if other guests are staying. The areas around the cottage are predominantly gravel and there are several steps down to Hawen or a gentle slope. This may make access difficult for those with impaired mobility.

External PIR lighting illuminates in low light or at night.

The property is simply furnished to maximise space but provide all that is required for a relaxing holiday.

Internally there is a wooden, winding staircase.

Owners live on the property so will be able to meet you and show you around. They will be on call if you have any problems during your stay.

Large Families and Groups

Hawen is available to rent as one large property with Rhibyn Cottage. A soundproof and fireproof door and wall separates the two properties but can be opened so that a holiday unit for 10 people is available. Please contact us separately if you would like to discuss doing  this. Please note, stag and hen parties are not permitted.

Beautiful accommodation and lovely hosts in an idyllic spot. We felt very relaxed and happy here. There are some great walks and lovely scenery. We hope to return and would be very happy to stay in any of the three cottages at Pigeonsford. Thank you.

Best cottage we've stayed in!

We have recently come back from a week staying here. Hands down the best cottage we've stayed in, in Wales!!! There were four of us and a dog, Michele was so lovely and on hand if we needed anything. Everything you would need is provided, even to the point of a 'Welcome Basket' of goodies including doggie treats. We cant recommend it enough, we are definitely booking again for next year!

Lovely week away

Thank you for a lovely break over Easter. The cottage was perfect - beautifully done and appointed with everything we needed. So nice to sit out in the spacious garden - we’ll use the bbq next time! Everything was very comfortable. Really enjoyed cozying up in the evenings with the log fire! We really enjoyed the area too. It was lovely to be able to head out the cottage straight into the amazing walks in the area and down to the beaches and coast. Llangranog is a great spot in itself and for exploring the area. So much to do. Our dog had a great holiday too. Thanks for all your thoughtful provisions for her. Great that the garden was dog safe so she could just potter. We are looking forward to a return visit!

Thank you very much Kristin and David. We're so pleased you enjoyed yourselves and found everything was to your liking. We look forward to your return visit.

Enjoyed our visit

My wife and I enjoyed our visit to Pidgeonsford and Hawen Cottage. The welcome we received was second to none and we loved the cottage and the area so much that we have already booked a return visit in September to celebrate our anniversary. You will not be disappointed. Michele and Rhodri were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. P.S. the dogs loved it too!
